PupPal: Terms of service
Terms of Service
Last updated: September 15, 2026 These terms are an agreement between you and PupPal (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the PupPal app and website. By creating an account or using PupPal you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use PupPal
You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country) to use PupPal. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials safe. One account per person, and the information you give us must be accurate.
2. Your content
You own the photos, posts, comments, and other content you share. By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute that content within PupPal so the service can work (for example, showing your posts to your friends). The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for residual copies in backups, which are purged on schedule. Only share content you have the right to share. Don't post other people's private information.
3. Community rules
PupPal is for dog lovers. You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other members
- Post content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or violent
- Post spam, scams, or misleading commercial content
- Impersonate anyone or create fake profiles
- Depict or encourage animal cruelty or neglect
- Attempt to breach, probe, or overload our systems
You can report any post or member from inside the app (the ⋯ menu), and block members you don't want to interact with. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Our Child Safety Standards describe our zero-tolerance policy for content that endangers children.
4. Meeting other members and their dogs
PupPal helps you find parks, plan play dates, and meet other dog owners. Real-world meetups carry inherent risk: you are responsible for your own safety and your dog's behavior, health, and vaccinations. Meet in public places and follow local leash laws. PupPal does not vet members or their dogs.
5. Services, listings and sponsored content
Businesses can list services and promote them in the feed (labelled “Sponsored”). Listings and reviews are provided by members; we don't endorse or guarantee any service. Transactions with a business are between you and that business.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Optional paid features (PupPal Plus/Pro, promoted listings) are billed through our payment provider, Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Where required by law, you may have additional refund rights.
7. Leaving PupPal
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account, which permanently removes your data as described on our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Disclaimers and liability
PupPal is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the acts of members, their dogs, or listed businesses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as PupPal evolves. If a change is material we'll notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use PupPal after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Brown County, Wisconsin, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section takes away consumer protections you are entitled to under the laws of the place where you live.
