Level Up Your School: Privacy policy
Privacy Policy
Level Up Your School ("the game") is made by Fox Valley Digital. This policy explains what information the game uses, why, and the choices you have.
The short version
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location, and the game has no accounts or chat. Your progress stays on your device. The game connects to the internet to show a video ad when the player asks for one, to handle purchases through Google Play, and to send anonymous usage statistics (which screens and features are used), which you can turn off in the game's settings.
Information stored on your device
Your game progress and settings (such as sound and accessibility options) are saved only on your device so the game can continue where you left off. This includes a record of purchases already delivered, so a purchase is never lost or given twice. You can erase your progress at any time with Reset Progress in the game's settings, or by uninstalling the game. If you have Android device backup turned on, Android may include this saved game in your device backup, which Google manages under your Google account settings. We never receive it.
Video ads (Google AdMob)
The game shows an ad only when the player chooses to watch a short video for a free gift or to double their earnings. There are no banner ads and no ads that interrupt play. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. Every ad request is marked as directed to children and limited to content rated for general audiences, which tells Google to turn off personalized advertising and remarketing for it. The game does not use the Android advertising ID.
To deliver ads, measure them without personalization and prevent fraud, Google may receive information from your device such as its IP address (which suggests a general location, like a city), device and operating system type, an app-specific identifier, and information about how the ad was viewed. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We do not receive it.
Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
To learn which parts of the game are played and where players get stuck, the game sends anonymous usage statistics to Google Analytics for Firebase: which screens open, which features are used (for example that a class was taught, a room was built or a video was watched), the player's level in the game, and basic device information such as the device model, operating system version and app version. It is configured for children: the game never sends the Android advertising ID or the Android device ID, ad personalization is turned off, and nothing you type (such as your principal's name) is ever sent. Google assigns the app installation a random identifier so that it can count installations and sessions; it is not linked to you, and Google receives your IP address only to deliver the data and to work out a coarse location (such as a country). You can turn usage statistics off at any time in the game's settings under "Share usage statistics". Google handles this information under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
In-app purchases (Google Play)
The game sells optional packs of game coins, stars and spirit, and a Principal's Pass. All payments are processed by Google Play under your Google account; we never see or store payment card details. When a purchase completes, Google Play tells the game which item was bought and gives it a purchase reference so the game can deliver the item. That reference is kept only on your device. Purchases are made with real money, so we ask children to get a grown-up's permission first. Parents can require a password or approval for every purchase in the Google Play Store app's settings, or with Google Family Link.
Permissions
The game uses internet access (for video ads, purchases and usage statistics), Google Play billing, and vibration for haptic feedback (which you can turn off in the game's settings). If you turn on Reminders in the game's settings, it also asks for permission to show notifications; reminders are set up on your device and nothing is sent to us. It does not ask for your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files.
Children
The game is designed for players of all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only third-party services that may receive information from the device are Google AdMob, configured for child-directed treatment as described above, Google Analytics for Firebase, configured as described above with the advertising ID and ad personalization turned off, and Google Play when a purchase is made.
Data retention and deletion
We do not keep any information about you on our side. The anonymous usage statistics are held by Google Analytics for Firebase under its own retention settings (14 months for event data) and are not linked to you. To remove everything the game stores on your device, use Reset Progress or uninstall the game; to stop usage statistics, turn them off in the game's settings.
Changes to this policy
If the game changes how it handles information, we will update this policy and its effective date before the change takes effect.
